The Alternatives Expo is...
An environment where you can explore alternatives to the mainstream ways of doing ... EVERYTHING (including thinking)
Our vision:
The Alternatives Expo becomes an incubator of ideas and practices for living an alternative to the state-controlled, regimented life where distant monopoly cartels dictate your every decision. We learn at AltExpo events how to actually practice things in real life we've only theorized before.
The Alternatives Expo offers an environment for free expression and creative fulfillment in the company of interested and supportive others. The Alternatives Expo becomes a model of non-heirarchical, self-organizing activities and friendly co-operation. It's a place where we share and learn how to "be all that we can be."
You can be a part of the AltExpo by...
- Becoming a volunteer coordinator to help make Alt Expo events happen
- Becoming a participant by presenting your ideas or selling your wares at an AltExpo event
- Attending AltExpo events (details below)

AltExpo#2.1 @ CNHT Independence Day Picnic

This event was low-key for us with just an opportunity to chat with folks who come for the Bar-B-Que at the Taxpayers' Reunion. We talked to several people who were very interested in our planned programs and we recruited a couple of presenters for future events.
We also ran our famous Expo Café. We had the best coffee at PorcFest08 and added a new blend at the Taxpayers Reunion and we distributed more of our souvenir mugs.
Be sure to register on this site and we'll send you announcements of what's going on with us and these events - more coming this summer.
