The Alternatives Exposition website is trying a new self-financing model. We have Google ads placed on the pages to bring in some revenue, but you can make the annoying Google ads go away, by subscribing to the site for a small $1/month subscription cost. (This is charged $3/quarter). Our goal is to bring in a minimum of $40 per month to pay for the web-hosting costs and webmaster support services. More than that is better, of course.

Just remember "Freedom isn't Free" and, if you enjoy what we do at the AltExpo, then please contribute financially through the website subscription.

Thanks for your support! As of this point, we only have 5 subscribers.

PiMP My Activism

While our goal is freedom, we each have our own specific idea of what liberty is and how to best achieve it, and we each have our own unique experience to bring to the table. Some of us have years of experience performing activism or fighting in the courts or running for office; some of us are brand new to the movement; and most of us fall somewhere in between.

How can we help each other achieve liberty while still remaining individual and de-centralized? We can share our experiences and expertise with others. We can practice.

If you've never been confronted by a cop for standing up for your rights, you might have an idea how you should handle it, but how will you handle it when it actually happens? Will you be ready with appropriate responses, both verbal and physical? Will you be ready for the situation, or will the cop surprise you and gain the upper hand? Have you considered all the consequences of non-cooperation? Have you thought about what it would feel like to actually put yourself in danger for your principles? And if you have considered it - or even experienced it - do you wish you would have done something differently?

PiMP My Activism is a role-playing seminar. The goal is to improve your activism by actually practicing tense, difficult scenarios with the aid and input of fellow activists who can share their thoughts and experiences.

Practice Makes Perfect.

How will you perform when a cop is shouting at you through your car window when you haven't done anything wrong? You'll know once you practice it.

For more information, please view our website. Our new website has a calendar to notify of future PiMP events. It also has categorized videos of PiMP scenes so those who were unable to participate in the PiMP session (as well as those who didparticipate!) can view the practice sessions. And each video has a threaded discussion so you can comment on the scene and discuss what went well and what might be done differently, just like we do at the live PiMP events. The site also has RSS and email notifications of new videos and/or comments.
