The Alternatives Exposition website is trying a new self-financing model. We have Google ads placed on the pages to bring in some revenue, but you can make the annoying Google ads go away, by subscribing to the site for a small $1/month subscription cost. (This is charged $3/quarter). Our goal is to bring in a minimum of $40 per month to pay for the web-hosting costs and webmaster support services. More than that is better, of course.

Just remember "Freedom isn't Free" and, if you enjoy what we do at the AltExpo, then please contribute financially through the website subscription.

Thanks for your support! As of this point, we only have 5 subscribers.

Video presentations

The video has become a hugely effective way to "spread the word."

You are encouraged to bring your favorite video to AltExpo events - the one you think everyone "ought to see." We'll work it into the schedule somewhere.

We now have a tent for video showings at our outdoor summer events where we can hopefully have day and night-time viewings.

Here is how it works:

We have purchased a tent, so we ask for donations from everyone viewing the videos to help pay for it. We, as usual, allow students to view and don't expect donations from them - Those of us who do have jobs, etc. usually generously encourage students to participate freely!

We depend on the loan of the usage of video equipment, so we now have a video coordinator (neednewguy@AltExpo.org) to man the equipment at all times to honor our commitment to our benefactor that it will not be damaged. We have to not touch the screen, as that damages it.

We'll have films you've heard of and ones you haven't. We'll have films you agree with and ones you won't. The important thing is to open your mind and check out the information that is out there - you can still decide what to believe - you ARE still free inside there, aren't you?

Videos that have been shown, and some you should see:

We'll have a more exact listing of films as we get closer to each AltExpo event, but here are some of the ones we've shown so far:

Idiocracy (Great comedy about a potential future in which the people have gone stupid and let mega corporations run EVERYTHING—Suppressed by Hollywood bigwigs—Family Friendly)

Brazil (Black comedy presents a future where society is completely controlled by an inefficient government. Robert De Niro)

Canadian Bacon (John Candy’s last film about the need to find a new enemy after the Cold War: The Canadians! Hilarious! Michael Moore movie, but not over-the-edge — family friendly)

Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers (I think even our people would be surprised to see the astronomical waste that’s actually going on. Absolutely beyond belief!)
